Isn`t it weird to see a show without music! I think this is the traditional way of presenting Couture though.

Burberry Flagship Store Opening in Beijing (April 13th)
The newest Burberry Flagship Store, the brand’s most technologically advanced 12,500 square foot flagship store at Sparkle Roll Plaza in Beijing, whose giant 5x9 exterior LED walls also streamed the event live.
The event took place on a 2000sqm sound stage at the Beijing Television Centre, was attended by over 1000 guests including Burberry CEO Angela Ahrendts, British actors Sam Claflin and Douglas Booth as well as Maggie Cheung, Fan Bing Bing, Li Bing Bing, Won Bin, Chen Kun, Du Juan, Dou Xiao, Shang Wen Jie; Yan Ni; Jia Nai Liang, Rock Ji, Super VC, Philip Huang and VJ Zhu Zhu.
“This global event in Beijing was a true expression of Burberry today bringing together all the elements of our multi faceted brand using the most innovative technology and the best of British music, connecting all our communities and celebrating this magnificent country with viewers all over the world.” said Christopher Bailey, Burberry Chief Creative Officer.
British models Cara Delevingne, Edie Campbell, Jourdan Dunn, Charlie France, Seb Brice and Chinese model Shupei, were joined by life-like holograms of themselves for a visually spectacular runway show where models transformed into snow and disappeared before returning in interchanging outfits.
Headline British band Keane performed a 40 minute live set at the event, marking their first performance in China, followed by live sets by British model and DJ Tom Guinness and Chinese DJ ShanXi.

Bags: Our Lord & Saviour S/S 11
Style Icons like Kate Lanphear were already carrying the cult-clutches last season, now New York luxury handbag label Our Lord & Saviour returns with its second collection keeping its emphasis on sophisticated classic shapes with subtle touches of its acclaimed controversial Christian iconography.
Niger Calf Leather
“Olympus Teneo,” the brands signature clutch, featuring its famed crucifix, is resurrected in a neutral palette of natural, black, and bone. This season the clutch is available in polished black box calfskin and a new exotic skin, a beautifully marked ring lizard. For evening the clutch is also carefully executed in a chainmail silver python, adding a bit of restrained flare, which drew inspiration from the amour of the Crusades.

I`m blown away by the classic, sophisticated design and the depth of the iconography. Jesus sacrificing his life for our salvation was the biggest grace mankind has ever received - this highest of all possible sacrifices embodied in luxurious design and finest materials just knocks me off the hook!

Sad News: Christophe Decarnin leaves Balmain
Christophe Decarnin is leaving Balmain after spending five years as creative director. A successor has not yet been appointed.
"Since 1945, the house of Pierre Balmain has been one of the leading French and international luxury brands," Balmain ceo Alain Hivelin said today. "Christophe Decarnin's work with the house's design team contributed to the success that the brand has enjoyed in recent years."
Following Decarnin's absence at the autumn/winter 2011-12 Balmain show in March, we spoke to a label insider who rubbished rumours the designer was leaving. According to a spokesperson for the brand, Decarnin was signed off under doctor's orders.
Decarnin joined the French fashion house in 2005 as a designer before being made the creative director in November 2007. He is largely credited for introducing the rock and military-inspired look - characterised for the past few seasons by slim silhouettes in leather and sequins - that the label is currently known for.
While any of the rumour mill's suggested Dior successors, from Riccardo Tisci to Alber Elbaz to Stefano Pilati (read the ful story here), would be suitable candidates for the Balmain job - so far industry insiders suggest the fashion house will appoint an internal employee as its new creative director.
Get well soon Christophe and PLEASE return to fashion-design to dress us in more rocking looks!
What are your parting words to Christophe Decarnin?
